Amazon.com Review
If you're looking for a premium food processor, this KitchenAid model is definitely worth investigating. A well-designed powerhouse designed to become any cook's chief assistant, it measures 14 inches tall and 7-1/2 inches wide, with a clear plastic 11-cup work bowl and a bonus mini bowl, two premium-quality blades, and three discs: a reversible thin slicer/shredder, a medium slicer, and a medium shredder. It also comes with a spatula/cleaning tool and a useful plastic storage case for the blades and discs. Thoughtful features include a quick-lock lid and an easy-to-use feed tube, plus lots of easy-cleaning aspects, such as a sealed housing, a smooth control panel, and a work bowl that completely disassembles. All parts except the base are dishwasher-safe.
The pulse feature comes in handy when chopping, slicing, dicing, shredding, or liquefying ingredients, and you'll also use the food processor to mix dough for bread and batter for cookies or muffins. The well-written instruction book gives thorough instructions, lots of tips, and 75 recipes that use all the processor's power to help create tasty treats. --Marcie Bovetz

Unavailable parts for this model (2010-01-08)
I purchased this KitchenaAid model a few years ago and it is still running strong. But the bowl AND lid are cracked and, after calling KitchenAid, I find that this model has been discontinued and parts are now unavailable. Customer service had no answer except to offer me a "discount" on a new processor!
my bowl cracked! (2009-09-22)

Anyway, this thing seems plenty capable of processing soups, sauces, nuts - pretty much anything, and it's a good size, too. Only thing that seemed to stretch it was a 2-loaf batch of lemon poundcake which filled up almost the entire bowl. But it still mixed fine. The slicing/shredding disc inserts are great for grating carrots and cabbage for coleslaw and for shredding large amounts of cheese (hint: shred lots of cheese and stash it in the freezer - it keeps for a long time!)
KitchenAid Food Processor (2009-04-17)
It has been a great asset to my kitchen. Powerful and true to its name and brand. I hardly used the attachments, which are bulky to store even though it came with its own storage box. Wonderful machine. Love it. Shipping was fast and well packaged.
my son-in-law says it is fabulous!!! (2009-01-15)
I bought the KitchenAid food processor for my son-in-law. He loves it!!!
Love it, with qualifications (2007-10-30)
This food processor is hard to beat. I use it several times a week. My big complaint is the cost of replacement parts. I had to pay $45 to KitchenAid to replace the bowl alone--not including the cover or the blade. I think this is outrageous.
