Customer Reviews

Great Kitchen Helper (2010-04-26)
This is a great product. Very easy to use and easy to clean. I highly recommend it. So much better than my old Cuisinart.

KITCHENAID KFPW 760 (2010-04-18)
Much easier to clean than my old Cuisinart. I like the egg whip, multiple bowls and juicer. My only complaint is that, when shredding potatoes, the ends will not go through the shredder. They just whirl around on the top of the disc. I don't recall if I had this problem with my Cuisinart because the stem broke shortly after I started using it. Customer Service is great. I used the chopping blade with the medium bowl and scratched it badly. They replaced it right away even though it was my fault. Google for Kitchen Aid rebates. They seem to have them all the time. This processor, less rebate and special $[...] rebate on special magazine Amazon offer, cost less than the lower model at Bed, Bath and Beyond and included whip and juicer. And, I got free shipping and fast delivery from Amazon.

Some disappointments (2010-03-27)
Having read mostly rave reviews, I thought the 760 KitchenAid KFPW760WH 700-Watt 12-Cup Food Processor, White would have been the best possible choice to replace my old processor. I have used it a number of times since purchasing and have found some good and some bad issues. Among the good, it's very quiet yet powerful. It is heavy and solid with sturdy components (bowls, blades, accessories). It is torquey at start-up, especially when pulsing, so I place it on a heavy silicon mat to avoid twisting on my work surface. The citrus juicer attachment is nice and works well but is large and requires a bit of space to store. Now for the bad so far. The product descriptions were very misleading. They advertise the 3 nesting bowls are interchangeable, but only the large main bowl can be used by itself. The others must be inside each other. The middle 10 cup bowl can be used only with the shredding/slicing disks, so you can't process multiple items without cleaning out the bowl between different foods. If you want to do something small in the 4 cup bowl you have to have all 3 bowls nested. The large wide feeding tube is nice to avoid some pre-cutting, but the safety locking feature is tight, sticky and cumbersome. I seem to have a bad pulse button which sounds like it's trying to start but just makes a loud electrical buzz without starting the blade. I'll be calling to get a replacement unit soon. I wish I had been able to check it out in a store before purchasing online. I don't think I'll pitch my old old Cuisinart yet.

Outstanding Food Processor (2010-03-17)
Pros: TONS of accessories including 3 different bowl sizes, powerful, somewhat quiet.
Cons: Heavy, initially it was hard to get the lid on it (a little better now).

Has worked wonderful for everything from making salsa, to slicing potatoes, to grating cheese. We've had absolutely no problems, but it's size and weight make it difficult to store in a cabinet. Looking forward to making lots of fresh baby food with it!
